Gentlemen,
i've read posts here of boolit casters using lee molds @.323 dia.
to use in their leverguns(.32ws).i can only find lee molds in 8mm(.324)
round nose.did lee make flat nose in .32 molds or are casters
modifying their round nose molds?any info on these molds would be
appreciated. thanks,Vic

9432,

lee doesnt make them. nor do hteey make alot of stuff for the 32ws, im going thru that right now. i had to get a rbcs 32-170-fn. 51 bucks. lee also does not make a trimmer, but you can use the 30-30. only .001 lengh differance. lee makes the reloading dies. but no expender for the CB. something i have to talk to rcbs for. they make a cowboy one not sure if that will help. but lee does make the lube sizer for it. im also still learning on this one.

I use Lee's 323 (8mm) 170gr Round Nose Gas-checked mold for my 32 WIn Special. I'm lucky enough that my rifle's bore is tight enough to use it when it's sized to .323 dia.

The .323" is just right in my .32sp.
A lee universal expanding die for about $10 is a real handy tool for the caster, what ever cartridges he loads.

It seems there was a conversation lately about this. No one, in my recollection, ever knew of a real life experience where this has been a problem.

.................Just use a flat nose punch. With the slug fully in the die bear down a bit on the handle and voila"! A flat nose ;) If you wanna get real technical, make up a spacer. Put the spacer over the die locking nut, set the boolit in place and bring the ram down to push the slug into the die, and the ram comes up against the spacer. All flat noses exactly the same.
