I found some bullets stored in a can in a shed. they are .452, approximently and have a base cavity like a minne ball. they weigh about 148 grains, are semi pointed, with a small flat area at the tip. the lead can be cut with a fingernail. what are they for?

They are cap and ball, balletts.
An alternative to balls.

do a search for 450229. I use them in a Ruger Old Army.
