Vertical stringing

I have been out of reloading for a while and I vagly remember that there is a particlar reason for a load to string vertically, but for the life of me I can not remember what the cause and the cure were. Help???

velocity variations.
switch to a powder that fills the case more.
or a filler.
it can be/is caused by inconsistent ignition.

Could also be inconsistent neck tension.

I get vertical stringing mostly when the powder charge is too low-more powder and the groups get round.

Been there, done that.

had loose trigger guard screws on an '03. Tightened with a little blue loctite,
problem solved accuracy restored.
