Anybody know if the Lyman Universal trimmer will accept the 11 mm Mauser case? I know the old RCBS Trim Por 2 will with standard collets but know of no other "standard" case trimmer that will. The Forster Classic will of course work but I'm looking for something a little more affordable.

I can't tell you about the Lyman or the RCBS. I used the Forster to trim. I used a small hobby chop saw to cut formed basic brass to near correct length but still long. The Mauser case has a beveled rim. It snuggles up to the collet mouth and easily centers , but not in the collet. I turned a 452 pilot down to fit the formed case mouth, then carefully trimmed the case OVERLONG. Firing new or formed 11 mm. cases will make them shorten quite a bit. You could probably duplicate a similar process with a Lee 45-70 trimmer spud body reduced in diameter, and used with the lee cutter in a drill press. BvT
