what is the problem here I think the mold hasent got up to temp yet am I close

That would be my guess. Either the mold (probably) or the lead.

Preheat the mold either on top of the melt or on the edge of the pot. If it is a Lee mold, just float it on top of the melt.

bisley, backtracking through your old posts I deduced that you are probably using a Lee mould. If so, and if you followed their pre-casting instructions, you could have got too much lube in the mould. (It's hard for me to tell from the picture.) First, do as Gunny said, aluminum moulds don't retain heat well, so need to be run hot. If that doesn't do it, degrease your mould, and relube SPARINGLY.

thanks guys gust had to pick up the pace a little mold was not staying hot
