Hello, I have a pair of Uberti Walker Colts. I have been informed I want to shoot .454 balls thru them. What is a good brand of mould to pour my own with? Where is the best place to get them? I am new to casting my own so I am sure I will have alot of questions. Thanks, Craig

I have a Lee .457 coming from Cabelas on Monday. They have plenty.
.457 works in mine. .456 for those Ball-ets, or modified conicals.
Use roof boots for lead in them.

When it comes to round ball moulds, they are pretty much the same. A round ball is a round ball. A lee mould does just fine. Lee also has a 456 conical for BP pistols that I have heard works good.

I also used a .457 Lee in mine. The 454's worked but they didn't shave enough lead so if you weren't careful and loaded a ball a little sidways the spur could keep things from sealing up right...chainfire.
