I use my index finger and thumb. [smilie=l:

Seriously, Look for a lyman design with a close likeness on the nose profile and you will be ok.

Welcome to the club!

You might get discouraged at times, but don't worry...if we don't know the answer, we'll just wing it.

Seriously, it's a great hobby, and can even become an (harmless) obsession.

Regarding the top punches, I have to confess that, although I have something over seventy moulds on hand, I'm getting by with about ten top punches...and have been for years.

The main thing is to get the pot fired-up and start casting boolits! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do, but maybe the novelty will wear off after a while.....and maybe not. I've been at it for right at forty years, and I STILL love to see those shiny little feelers dropping ouit of the mould.

You, too Bruce? I think I have 17 or 18 moulds. By actual count I have nine top punches, seven of which ever are used. It's amazing what you can do with a couple of flat point and two or three round nose punches, especially if you don't mind slight rings marked on the noses!
