Bought this on ebay for a decent price ($50) shipped. Just needed to get handles put on it and I don't have the proper tooling to do it. So I had Buckshopt do it for me and what a great job he did. Thought I'd toss up a few pics. Cast some today and I think this is now one of my favorite moulds. Casts 454 and I sized a few to 452 and lubed with Lars BAC. Gonna take the XD out in the morning and try em out. They are identical to the Laser Cast 230 grain RN's I bought before I started casting my own. Thanks again Buckshot.

Anyone else use this boolit? Looking for a good load that I can use in IDPA, using the XD 5" 45. So far it seems to be the most accurate, better than I can shoot! Bullseye didn't seem as accurate as the HS-6. The only other pistol powder I have is Unique, I have to give it a try.

These were shot at 15 yds from a rest.

I have a Magma 200gr RNFB mold. It is one of the easiest molds i have used to get quality bullets from. I also am using BAC lube in a service (4") XD and have not had one bit of leading problem since switching. I cast about 250/hr. and after the mold is at temp I have very few rejects. I went with the lighter 200gr. mold just to squeeze the most out of a pound of alloy. I get about 35/lb vs. 30/lb for the 230gr. Basically all Magma did was to not lower the cherry all the way into the mold blocks. The bottom driving band is about .070". Other than that it is a carbon copy of your bullet. What top punch are you using. I tried the Lyman #374 but it leaves a ring around the top of the bullet. I started using the top punch for my TC .45cal bullets. It flattens the nose a tiny bit and has ZERO affect on feeding!

#374 works perfect on this boolit.

I too will soon be using the 200gr RN mould. I just bought one from 686. I hope Buckshot will adapt it for me.
