Any mold suggestions for .35 Remington, for use in a Marlin 336? I do really enjoy the Lee 6 bangers for other Calibers but am open to other suggestions.

One of the best cast calibers out there. Limit loads to 40K absolute max. Lyman 158 grainer, Saeco 180 grainer, RCBS 200 grainer, all gas check designs. Use H335 equivalent powder at 40, 38, 36 grains respectively. Each boolit shoots extremely well and further experimentation is not required unless for fun and games. ... felix

The Lyman 200 grain RNGC has worked well for me and makes a good huntng bullet when cast of W/W material.

I would go with either the 200gr RCBS 35-200 or Ranch Dogs 190gr boolit. Have both moulds. Ranch Dog mould has a larger meplat, so I think I would go with that.

...............I like the Saeco 200gr FN, a GC design. Never tried the RCBS but doubt I'll ever buy it as I don't see it doing any better then the Saeco :-)

RCBS 35-200 shoots great in my Marlin 336. WW & lead at 1750 fps.

The Lee 158 gr SWC actually works quite good out to 100 yards or so. GC design. BLC2 powder is my favorite. Forget the load offhand but you will see it for the 200 grain bullet. Start there and feel free to work up a few grains. The 200 gr RCBS also does very well but while I've shot them I don't have the mold.

That's the beauty of the 35 cal, all those steekin peestol boolits work too. I'd use any mould I had under 225 grs and see what shoots best. I'm partial to the RCBS 35-200.

I second the RANCHDOG ! I have the Ranch Dog (just got it-$26.00) and also Lyman app. 200 gr. 358315 round nose gas check. The Ranch Dog shoots better and has a large meplet (should kill better). Still testing but my current load is 35 gr. 3031-havent chronyed it yet but with the 200 gr. Hornady RN J bullet it is moving in the 1900 + fps. range. I have killed deer with the 200 gr. Hornady load and with the 200 gr. Lyman-----the load kills great! My rifle is a M336 in .35 Rem. also.

Got it from his website----www.ranchdogmolds.com ! Double cavity mold comes WITH handles. They are special order molds/specs from LEE . I have 3 of them in different calibers, 35, 375 and 45 ! They all shoot great !

Another suggestion for the Ranch Dog 190 mold. Can't beat it for $26 bucks, and it shoots GREAT out of my .357 Max!

Here are a couple. On left is the RCBS 35-200-FN. On right is my design from Moutain Mold at 205 grains. The actual weight of the RCBS in 50/50 alloy is 220 grains.
