Preface this post by noting these are my first ever cast reloads.

Pistol: Taurus PT 58 S 380 ACP
Chrony: Pact XP setup ~12 feet from muzzle
Target: Setup behind Chrony ~15 feet from muzzle
Load:
CCI Primer
3.0gr HP38
Win Case
Cast Lee 356-102-RN sized to .356 (Casted about 106gr from clip on WW)
Attached is target of last 7 of 8 shots fired. The orang square is 1”x1”. I was mostly concerned with not hitting chrony as opposed to concentrating on tight groups.

Chrony info:
Shot 1: 879.8 fps
Shot 2: 882.6 fps (Fastest)
Shot 3: 881.4 fps
Shot 4: 881.8 fps
Shot 5: 869.2 fps
Shot 6: 867.5 fps
Shot 7: 870.0 fps
Shot 8: 857.4 fps (Slowest)

SD: 10.5
MAD: 8.3
AV = 873.1
ES = 30.3

That has all the earmarks of a very good load. I'd suggest loading some more up and shooting them again for group only without the chrony. The test woul be to see if that vertical stringing was caused by not trying to hit the Chrony. With your concentration on the sights and trigger pull instead of trying not to shoot the Chrony the group may very well tighten up. If it does you are in busness.

Paul, that's very good shooting for a .380ACP. I have that same mould and am going to try your load and see what happens. I've been shooting 3.2 grains of AA#2 with that same boolit and getting semi-decent results, but would like to do better.

How did you lube/size the boolits--was it with a lubesizer or did you tumble lube?

Don't tar and feather me but I used Red Angel. I wanted a hard lube so it would not be sticky to mess with. I took a gamble and used Red Angel. My barrel looks pretty good but I have not put hundreds down the barrel yet. The Lubersizer is a Lyman 4500 with heater.
