I just got back from the range and had a successful day of shooting and experimenting.
Since the group-buy 311041's haven't made it to California yet, I shot the Lyman version that I have in 2-cavity alongside my group-buy 311407. They both shoot to same point of impact which makes it handy. I made up some in water dropped WW lubed with Liquid Alox and sized .310". I got no leading and good accuracy out of both loadings. Loads were 29.7gr. H-4895 and 30.4gr. H-335. First time I used 4895 with this bullet and was real happy with the results. Don't have a chrony so no speeds, sorry!

anyhow, my group-buy bullet I used was the 311407 in case the editing doesn't work.

Wow! can't believe I forgot that..Cartridge was .30-30 and rifle(s)=94 Win. Angle eject 24" barrel with 4X and Marlin 336 with micro-groove. Also shot some 77 gr. .32 pistol plinkers in those guns with 7.5 gr. Unique but would prefer the Lee soup-can bullet as it hits the same place as the whomper loads at 50 yds. The .32's shot about 4" low but in a nice little 1-1/2" group.

Hi Buckshot,
Be sure & develop a load for the Springfield you have that'll give 2000-2200 FPS with great accuracy and then give it to all us lazy guys with Springfields.
