So my local recycler has several hundred pounds of once fired. mix of 45,40, 38, and 223. Will sell it at $1.20 a pound. I'm thinking of getting it all. Let's hear your input. My figuring tells me that the 38's would work out to around 13 dollars a thousand. Which is fantastic, but that's alot of brass. So who's in?

I would be interested in 223 REM brass. Commercial or military. Where do you live. If close I will help you seperate it.

im interested in any 9mm casings you have.
+1 on the once fired question ability. scrap yards lie out of their ass to make a sale, especially nowadays.
my local scrapyard has brass, but it is mostly 22 rimfire, and not worth sorting by hand.
if there is much 9mm im interested in 10K if the price is reasonable

It is always at least "once fired" only way to know its trully once fired is to make your own. Police ranges ar also a good source but even they often use remanufactured ammo.

When my bottle necks get old enough to scare me, I pitch them into a bucket and eventually take them to the scrap yard. The junkies throw my cases into the same barrel as the "once fired" indoor range brass.

But hey, I like my eyes more than a lot of folks. Those cases probably have a shot or two left in them... probably.

being in the brass biz, i go thru 3-4,000 lbs per month. all the stuff i will not retail or wholesale, goes to the scrap yard........while some is once fired, most is there because it is SCRAP.

yep i'm sure some gun ranges scrap thier brass, it may be once fired, but untill you have a working relationship with the range, you never know. buying from a scrap yard and trying to resale is a gamble...its hard to confirm to your buyers that it is indeed once fired.
the price is good IF IT IS ONCE FIRED.

This brass came from a private range that a few police and other agencies use. While yes there may be some re-manufactured in it, the majority of it looked very nice. I would say that this stuff looked better than half the stuff that I have gotten from brass dealers, and I was happy with all of it.

No worries though, not looking to make a killing, just help some brass challenged people out. As one day soon I may need help, but I do know today I wouldn't mind making a new friend.

Not to hijack anyone's thread, but would there be any interest in once fired federal 375 H&H magnum cases? Cases have not been deprimed and not tumbled. Think I have about 500 approximately. Will have to dig them out and see what shape they are in. Frank
