Nose length 358156

Would someone with a 358156 Lyman bullet, please measure the nose length from the top of the upper crimp groove to the end of the nose and let me know what it measures. Also, what is the as cast dia. for WW or Lyman #2 alloy?

The measurement you are interested in seems to be .282 or thereabouts.

The alloy I have been using for these is probably not quite as hard as WW; they measure .359 as cast. I can't imagine them shrinking a whole lot going to a harder alloy, but don't really know. Good luck with whatever you choose.jw

My copy is .295" nose to top crimp. This variance is nothing unusual for Lyman. I have 4 Lyman 452374 moulds, all 4 are slightly different. This at least gives you a range of nose lengths.
