Does everyone else do this? I thought I came up with a clever idea today:

Most of my pure lead is in 2 lb ingots. Right now, i'm casting for my .44 a 3/1 WW/lead alloy. I have a 20lb bottom feeder pot on order, but until that comes in, i'm limited to just using my Lee 4lb pot.

So my solution was to re-ingotize (hmm is that a word  ) my pure lead into 10-11oz ingots. That way I can toss them in with a 2lb WW ingot and the ww/pb mixture takes care of itself in the pot.

Maybe i'm late to the party, but I thought this was perty smart. :D :D Then again, maybe everyone is doing this and it's new only to me. :Fire:

Any other tricks you guys have managing alloys in a smaller pot? [smilie=1:

Lee sells an ingot mold that does that. I bet that is why it's made that way. I could not figure out why anyone would pour 1/2 ingots and now it makes sense..
