First post here, nice site!

Went looking for WW the other day(I used to run Scrap...I cannot tell you hw many tons I left sitting because of prices, but I Digress)

Stopped at 5 yards and tire shops and got the usual "we cannot sell lead to the public" BS.

Last place I stopped at to ask for tire prices of all things, and we started talking.

Long story short, I brought home these, and he has another 7 just like them still sitting there.

I think I did good:)

I scored 2500 lbs of lino the other day, so this has been a good month for me too. I have vacuumed the whole area for ww's, and was thrilled when I actually found someone who still had that much lino.

I"m bringing back 4 of those buckets tomorrow, and buying my new tires for my truck there on Friday.

He's a smaller shop and I'd assume those represent a good 10-12 months of collection...If not more.

Either way, I'm grabbing all the rest when I get back there on monday :drinks:

Nice score, but I'm not real clear on the "another 7 just like them still sitting there" part. You had time to take a pic and post it on the net, but no time to go and snatch the rest of the booty? Good God man! You've got to learn to prioritize. :)

From what I've seen, the only people wanting them would be the scrappers. With prices at 10% of last year, there is not a big rush to get them. The owner is who I talked to and he's a decent guy. They are all mine.

Now, to see if I can melt some more down today in 22* weather :D

I was having one of my "bad" day, getting over cancer chemo treatments. A neighbor friend stopped by to chat me up. Before leaving he asked if I was going to start casting this spring. When I answered yes he replied, "Good I put a pail of ww`s weighing 65 lb. in your garage". He wouldn`t take a penny for getting them. Friends like him I wouldn`t take any kind of money for.:drinks:Robert

I hope you properly disposed of the kitty litter from those buckets, it's bad for the environment you know!!:drinks:
