blue color

I casted some soft lead sheet from shower pants today into small stainless steel cups from walmart and every one that came out had a blue tint on it. It does wipe off but what causes it to happen?? Anything I can do? Thanks.

It's normal for soft/pure lead.... Don't worry about it :)

pure soft lead does have that blue to it when it's cast with a high temp into the ingots nothing to worry about. i kind of like the looks of it myself. steve k

Id be blue too if I wore lead shower pants----guess they are waterproof.
