Hey guys,

Simple question really. Is it okay to use a round nose lead boolit in a Marlin Levergun? I have been using Lee molds with great success and have been shooting their 200gr RF but looking for a little bigger CB to try.

Thanks in advance,

Adam

Ignore the question guys, I just saw the answer about round noses in a 30-30.

Thanks

Get the RANCH DOG TLC 432 265...and live happily ever after. IIRC he has 6 cavity moulds available...the preferred way to fly. Get it from RD, not LEE...they have some of his seconds in the bargain section. Size to .432 in the method you like and don't be stingy with the powder charge.

I don't know if the TLC 432 300 (or 350) are available...and if in a 6 cavity.

I think that is the mold I bought for my Marlin . Feeds much better than the SWC's that I had been casting for wheel gun .

A lot of people have spoke caution at shooting RN bullets in lever gun . Well , the factory Federal .30-30 ammo I have on the shelf are 170 grain RNSP jacketed bullets . I figure if Federal's lawyer is not worried , there is probably not much point in me worrying about it .

Have not shot enough to say a lot about accuracy .

God bless
