Can i throw in the pot "lead free solder"?????

I have some plummers solder that is lead free and a roll of electrical solder that I'm not sure about. Can I use these to harden the lead or soften or what???

The lead free is most likely tin. I use 1-2" in 20lbs of melt if I cannot get square corners.
Hang on to it, it is expensive and does come in handy.
Electrical solder, I toss that in. The flux helps clean the melt also.

The lead free from Fleet Farm the midwest chain, is 95/5. 95% tin 5% antimony.
It is my tin source when/if needed.

By all means use it! I find that 2% Tin works wonders for flowability. It won't harden it much, though.
For a good general purpose revolver/ pistol alloy, I use 50-50 lead to wheel weights with 2% Tin added (about 6.4 ounces added to the 20 pounds of alloy I make at one time).
Any more than 2% is wasting the Tin.

I toss in about 12" of 95/5 lead free solder into my 20# pot if the molds not filling well. 95/5 is, as Shiloh said, 95% Tin and 5% Antimony. Re; the other solder, don't know if it will actually harm anything but I shy away from any kind of acid core solder...
