I can see paying a slight (say 10% more) premium if it is something you have to have and it is backordered everywhere, but if it is in stock at one of the major sites we're talking idiots... As others have said, Ebay back around 2000 was a hoot. Now, it is full of "Power Sellers" and such. So much of the stuff is being sold from guys in China! I don't search it as much as I used to, that's for sure. And when I do find something, I use bidding software to toss my bid at the last second. If it passes my max early, then I didn't want it! Keeps me from wanting to beat the other guy (or staying up to 3AM to watch it end...). I have missed many actions by a buck because someone's max was higher, but who knows, they might have been the $62 Lee mold guy and his max was probably double the retail price:-)

There are a few thing I am watching on there right now, but I wonder If people do not know how to copy and paste or use google.

It's easy, fun, excitment at your finger tips, delivered to your door. Prices could go even higher if they had an auctioneer at the last 30 minutes. I'd pay a fee just to watch and listen.
I get a bang out of watching an old peice of junk going for 3 times it's worth at an outdoor auction.
It makes me feel good when i see someone making a killing on a sale, i don't get jealous. I look at it as an example of free enterprize as long as i don't have to buy it.

LOL!!!

I have often thought that one could make a pretty fair business out of buying items retail, and then selling on Ebay!

It seems that when "Auction Fever" sets in, rational thought stops!
