I am curious how the bullet is doing in your rifles. The reports I have received (only about 4) have all been positive. Just curious, I would like more information.

Fits the 30-30 Marlins and the various 7.62x54R rifles very well and shoots good also.

Hi Chargar,
I don't know if you read my post but mine checked out mostly good, Only complaint I have is that two of the cavities have bullet shanks too large to fit a .30 cal gas check onto but I just use .32's on them & they all size fine thru my .310 Lyman or .311 Lee sizer.
I shot about 15 last week out of my '94 Black Shadow & they were about as accurate as anything I've seen. I got a 7/8" 5-shot group and several-1/2" 3-shot groups @ 50yds.
I used 30.4gr. H-335, water-quenched WW, seated out to touch the rifling. Used Felix Lube on the .310" ones and Liquid Alox on the .311". Didn't seem to make that much difference. Filled all grooves with lube.
According to the book, that load should give about 2100-2200fps. Would like to get info on a load for the '06 that clocks about that same speed.

I posted this some where else. The 311407 shoots excellent in my 2 groove 1917 enfield, doesn't shoot at all in my Stevens model 200 I bought at wally world. I poured over 2000 in 2 hours of casting time. All water qeunched. I have only shot a few because its winter here and trips to the range are not often enough. All my gas check shanks are fine. They just barely pick up the hornady gas check when I set the boolit on it before it goes to the sizer. Some even fall off on the way to the sizer. All boolits are the same in measurment and weight for me.

I have a 2 cavity 311466, a lovern design. The grease grooves are a little bigger and so are the driving bands. I fill 3 grooves on the 311466, and 4 on the 311407 because they don't look like they hold as much lube.

Good group buy, good mold, good design.

Thanks Charger. Great Job!

I made a set of measurements for each cavity and they are mostly the same except for the GC shanks like I mentioned and weightwise range from 174.4gr. for 2-cavities, 174.6 for one, 174.8 for-2 and 175.0 for one. All are .300 on the nose and the first 2-lands except 2 go .301 on the first 2-lands. The rest of the bullet is pretty uniform between cavities. All my bullets are WW.

I cast 500 or so and finished weight sorting them. They ranged fromn 165 gr to 185 gr with obvious defects on the light side as poor fill out on some of the bands and noticable finning on most of the heavies. I kept the ones between 172-175 grs about 80% or more and conted the rest as operator error. All in all I consider it a keeper. Gianni.

.................I sure wish I had time to load and shoot some. Beautifull boolits!

I scaled 5-6 of'em dropping one after another on the scale pan and watching the 'approch to weight' scale. They all seemed to be within tenths of each other. The nose bands come in right at .300+ according to my dial guesstimators and about .312" on the body.

They should be well aged before I can get to them!

I finally got around to using the mould on Saturday. After a good cleaning, and a brief beak in period, then a good coating of spray graphite, the mould produced excellent boolits. They all seem to mic .300-301 on the noses and first few driving bands and .313 on the remainder of them. After culling out the rejects, most of which were for rounded bases, I had 215 usable boolits. The gas checks are a loose fit but that's not a huge problem as I use a Lee push through sizer. I'll tumble lube the bunch and load them '06 cases with 2400 powder for use in my 03A3. When I can get to the range I'll report the results.

I was able to get to the range this morning and brought my 03A3 and several different loadings with the 311407m. I am very happy, this is a 100 yard group. The load is Federal cases, Winchester LR primers, and 16 grains of 2400. I was using only a front rest with my left hand under the butstock. All 10 shots were fired within a minute and a half in a gusty wind. The "mandatory" flier opens the group up to 3 inches...damn flier!

Just a question for you Maine...Is that Lee Liquid Alox I see on those boolits? And what size are you sizing em to? Please and Thank You!

no shooting yet. i sized a bunch at 309 for my ar10 and stuffed them with 26-29 gr of varget. when the sun comes out i'll shoot some.
i'll size some at 310 or 311 for the 309 slugged 03a3, and probably use varget again.

bullets scaled from 172.5 to 174.5 with most at 173( all grouped at +/- .5)
