I have a star lube/sizer that pushes straight through.

I sized a bunch of 300gr FP bullets with Gas Check for use in a 454.

It was unusually difficult to size these. Bent the handle on my press.
It turns out the problem was the Gas check needing lube. I started running them through more than once and that made it much easier. The die would have a little lube and that made sizing much less effort.

My question, it that a problem running a bullet through the sizer more than once? Specifically each went through 3 times. All still measure .452

I was concerned about work softening of the material.

Once through or three times will not change anything but I have to ask what size they start at? And what size are you trying to take them to? .452" sounds perfect.
How do they fit the throats?
I size fresh cast boolits for my .44 to .431" and after aging they will be close to .432" and become a snug fit to my throats. I can measure the growth over a period of days.
If a .452" slips through too easy you might want them even larger. Let the gun tell you.
