You know, I haven't tried this. The use of 100 grain bullets in the 32 ACP isn't unheard of, the Speer 30 caliber "Plinkers" get some use in 32 ACP.

I've used the Lee 100 grain RN in my 32 ACPs from time to time--a Walther PP and a Beretta 81 (now departed). Keeping in mind that a 40% weight increase in the boolit corresponds to a similar DECREASE in powder charge weight--this to prevent slide/frame contact surface battering--750 FPS was about as fast as I cared to run the Lee RN.

Pure speculation here--the square shoulders on SWC designs can cause problems with the short throats often found in autopistol barrels. The real answer is a 75-85 grain truncated cone design for the 32 ACP (and my 7.65 MAS/M-1935).

OK--you've got me to pondering here. Time for a test drive!

The M-1935 is a nice little pistol--it looks like a SIG P-210 that got shrunk in the wash. I suspect the pistol came home with a GI from Viet Nam, then found its way to a gun shop where I snagged it. An aftermarket magazine maker in California actually produced magazines for it, of which I got 3 soon after I found the pistol.

The cases I use were found via a USA circular (Shotgun News), and are shortened 32 S&W Long brass with the rims turned down and extractor groove cut on a lathe.

They are pretty scarce in the USA--I've only seen two others in nearly 40 years of active firearms hobby participation.

If the rain and wind will stop today, I'm going to empty out some of the 32 ACPs I have loaded in order to try the RCBS 98 SWC in the fired/processed cases.
