I have acquired a Pacific Tool Company hollow pointer. This device was intended for the fmj 30 06 and was available in other military calibers such as 8mm. It is intended to be used with an electric drill. In examining how it is built it appears to me that it could be used with a 308 (which is what I shoot) by putting a properly sized plug in behind the 30 06 cartridge. Now for my question...does anyone know of a cast bullet in the 150 to 170gr range that is close to the profile and length of the fmj? Is anyone familiar with this device? Anyone used it with cast bullets?
