There's a little gunshop 'bout 8 miles down the road with a whole rack full of VZ-24s and I should be gettin' back some money from the gummint soon. Think I'll git me another cast rifle.

Yup, Ammo Depot is the place I'm talking about. I had one of those K-31s when I was much younger. I MIGHT get one of them.

I don't need one, but they are on sale here in Australia as well and they are virtually new. I have moulds for 30cals and 303s, I really don't need to get set up for a completely new calibre, but the thought of such a classy rifle which should be an excellent performer on lead boolits gets me in a little.

IMR, what kind of price were they going for? I am in Rains Co. and go to the Terrell Gun Club. Do you have your own range or go to another place around here to shoot?

4Finger,

You need to invest in that rifle. The ones we are seeing here in the States are worth the money to pick up. If you don't care for the limited selection of cast 323 molds, slap another barrel in 308 or 30-06 and she'll do you fine there as well.

Limpingj,
I haven't priced them yet. I was there a coupla weeks ago and saw them on the way out and didn't stop to look as I was late.
As for a place to shoot, I do that here on my own property. I'm in the process of building a 100 yd. range. At the target line, there will be a 200 lb. 36" X 36" steel bullet deflector. Inside the shop, there will be a sound baffle to shoot through from the comfort of a table. There will be 2 presses on my right for load development.
Stay in touch and when I get all this stuff done, you'll be welcome to come on out, bring your rifles and shoot with me. Love to have company when there's gunfire. By the way, Tex, you're not excluded from this invitation.
