I borrowed a friend's propane cooker and was able to finish up the range scrap I had. I melted down a 5 gallon bucket of range scrap and it made 143 pounds of muffins!

Looking good. I'm just about to get started casting in a couple weeks but dang it's been cold here. Looks like it's been chilly there too.

I like that burner, it has what looks like a wind break around the burner. I smelted some lead today but the wind was a pain and my flame is about eight inches below the pot with nothing to cover it. It takes a lot more propane. I wonder if galvanized sheet metal will hold up to the heat, anybody know? If so I have two sheet metal shops I can go to.

Just think,you have accomplished multiple tasks!
You have helped heat up the great outdoors!
You have taken one form and made it into another WHILE seperating steel clips which COULD be recycled....
You have made some muffins-but feed them only to stray pelicans!
And you have done something to relax on a cold day.
FABULOUS![smilie=s::veryconfu:bigsmyl2:

Your plywood is much too pristine, you gotta spill more lead around to make it a homey scene! :kidding:

For a wind guard, a scrap of aluminum siding or any sheet metal works fine, a couple of zip screws will hold it. Good chilly work!

Actually it was 57 degrees out there today!!! This was the warmest day we have had in weeks. We are recoverying from one heck of an ice/sleet storm and a bunch of it melted today. It was windy too and the wind guard on the burner really helped.

My pelican makes a pretty good pet. Infact, he is standing right next to the gold fish pond. Yes, under all that sleet and ice is a gold fish pond and the gold fish are still in it! We have had that pond for several years now and the fish stay in it year round.

Know wonder we have global warming. To hot down here for that sort'a thing. I am jealous of all that lead you have.
