What is 92%Pb, 6%Sb, 2%Sn best used for? Seems close to WW composition without the mess and clips.

I think that's what is called "Taracorp" alloy. More like a Lyman #2 with less tin. It is the same as a 50/50 mix of linotype and pure lead. I use it a lot for magnum revolver loads and rifle boolits. It runs about 15 BHN, so slightly harder than WW alloy and casts a little better due to a higher tin content.

Hard Baller ~ modern replacement for lyman #2 perhaps?

If you have quite a bit of it, try it as is. You can always harden it or soften it as you need to. I agree that it should be just a hair bit harder than WW, and should cast like a dream.

Best wishes from the Boer Ranch,
