My new Grafs flier is advertising Fiocchi 380 Mk-II brass - which they are careful to say is not 380 ACP brass. A search on dogpile turns up nothing. Anyone know about this cartridge? :veryconfu

Webley. And Enfield. Pretty much the same as 38 S & W. The MkII was 200 gr. Just had a group buy on a mold for that boolit this past year.

Ok -Thanks. Now I get it - they're referring to the 38 S&W case loaded with a 200 grain bullet. I think the Brits figured out that it would hit as hard as the .455 Webley in a much lighter cartridge.

So what's with Grafs? The brass is 38 S&W - nothing else. They're selling it in the US - why not sell it as 38 S&W? I don't believe there's any dimensional difference. Here and I was thinking we had a new 380 case loaded to 50,000 PSI and propelling a 100 grain boolit at 1800 fps from a 3" barrel.

Because a lot of folks are looking for 380 Mk II ammo I suppose. Ya gots to remember that not everyone into guns is into as deep as we are. That's why each year guys with guns marked 7mm Express Remington buy 7 mag ammo, people with 32 S+W buy 32 Auto, people with 16 gauges look for 3" mag loads and people try and fit 44 mag rounds into Uncle Earls 44 Special.

BTW- The 38 didn't work as well as the 455.

the idea was great until reality hit the brits.it was designed for lead but the hage
convention ruled lead was out so jacketed bullets did not work well.:coffee:[smilie=1:
