748 shows a lot of promise in cases of the 308 and x 57 families as far as velocity and lower pressures...
have you tried lowering the load a tad and using a filler?

ATR, I have had very very good luck in the .308 in this wt range with IMR3031 at 2500ish FPS. But it looks like you got a good thing going with the 748. NICE SHOOTING TEX!

R5R,,,
did you mean using a filler with the Unique Load or with the 748 Load??
I have used 32 and 34 gr loads with the 748 with results similiar to what Ive shown here...

I am going to further experiment with the Unique powder loading, but 748 has been consistantly good both for mold #311413 and #311299

What is your 311413 dropping I had one that was running 312 and it was hard to size to 308.

shotman....
the 311413 are droping at .310 with a mix similiar to lyman #2,,,,they are also very consistant in weight at 170 gr.

the 748. is what i meant.
if you look at your pressures the low amount of fast powders will produce as much pressure as the slower one will.
but i have had loads that show promise become better with a filler to help.

I like the way 748 is working for both 311413 and 311299.....I am very loath to change these loads since they have consistantly proven to be accurate out to 100 yards.
