I saw a new .32 Win. Special barrel listed for a Marlin 336A at Numrich Gun Parts when I looked at Buckshot's post on the '06 barrel. Does anyone know if this barrel would be an easy swap for a 336 currently chambered in .30-30? I probably asked that wrong - not knowing the date of manufacture of the .32 W.S. barrel, would it be safe to assume it might fit a receiver of recent manufacture?
The price is listed as $62.10; thought it might be a relatively easy way of building up a cast rifle in this chambering if a simple barrel swap is all that's required.

I think the threads are the same and the barrel should fit. Remember a barrel change out always requires some fitting.
