My Lee TL 312-160-2r should be here tomorrow and I was wondering if anyone knew a good source to get some surplus powder that will work in my sks paratrooper. I realize I'll probably have to buy in quantity so I'm prepared for that. 4895 sounds good but I'm open to using any powder with reasonable performance characteristics:Fire: . How much can I expect to pay?

I like Jeff, he is fast, efficient, and the powder is never short.

I have done business with Jeff Bartlett for years.
The quantities and variety are not what they used to be. The prices are also starting to come very close to what cannister grade commercial powder is. There was a time when surplus was around half of what cannister powder was. No more!!

Check out Pat also. I have purchased from him as well.

I checked my local BI-Mart store here in Oregon and some powders can be had for about $15 per lb. That might be the way to go when you factor in shipping and haz-mat charges. Now I'll have to see which one suits the 7.62x39 the best. Thanks for the comeback guys.
