I am looking to buy pure (more or less) tin to make my own lead alloy mix. any recommendations for a reasonably priced reliable supplier?

For quality, knowing what your getting,shipped to your house, not too shappy, of course you would need to order $100 to make it worth buying.

Otherwise check out the search on tin you'll find many sources for tin.

Graingers showing it on clearance while stock lasts for about 7 per 1# spool. Midway, 2#s almost 30 bucks. Sounds like a deal to me. Picked up 10#s from graingers in Sparks NV. They've 9#s left. My local plumbing supply wants 17 for the very same Kester brand spool

Still beats being an ebay victim ~
