This is a Browning traditional hunter rifle...It has been re chambered from 45-70 to the big 45-120 cartridge..Shoots good with black powder...I got this for match shooting, but the barrel heats up to quickly,so I am selling to but anout rifle..Comes with sights...Asking 800.00 or reasonable offer..Comes with scope bases as well...Would make a good hunting rifle.......http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd267/pennygoat/45-120001-1.jpghttp://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd267/pennygoat/45-120004.jpg

I will keep this in mind. I am interested but not exactly sure when I can get the cash together.

Want to do some tradin? I have a #5 smokless roller in 45/70 that is ready for new wood. It has a 28" half octi half round barrel. Chamber and extracter are done. Just needs new wood (to be nice) and the receiver blued or colored.
I would be willing to kick in a few 100 cash to finance the wood project.
I contacted Treebone carving and he said he has stock wood cut for the roller from a few 100$ to the skie's the limit. I had intended to buy cheap but after looking at some of his finished work I got confused and stary eyed. Anyway a few 100 is a start to the sky is the limit.
By the way is that traditional hunter a steel cresent but? 45/120 OUCH!!!

That I do not believe is the sight that comes on the TH model. Is that a Browning sight?
Do you also have the Borwning front sight with spirate level? Is the rear sight mounted on steel or wood? I am interested but a bit scared of that cressent but. Do you have any 45/120 brass to go with the rifle?

Bull---

The rear sight is indeed a Browning and yes it is mounted into the tang(steel)

The front I believe is a Lyman--NO spirit level in it.....I do not want to sell the brass
thanks...
