If it says non-stick does that mean teflon (the label doesn't say what the coating is)? Bad idea? Mini loaf too big an ingot size (has 8 per pan)? I've read here of some muffin tins that ingots stick in terribly and others that are fine. I can't find any in the store that don't say non-stick. What do you recommend?

I use a cheap non stick mini muffin pan I picked up at wally world. Works perfectly and the muffins are just about one lbs a piece. They fall right out when I turn the pan over too.

The first time you heat the tin up real good all or at least most of the non stick coating will burn off

And the non stick coating fumes are not good for you

So I sat mine on the turkey fryer burner and heated it up real hot , turned off the burner and let it cool
All while staying well away from the smoke

Now it isn't non stick , I have no fear of breathing in the toxic smoke from the non stick coating
And it works just fine

I saw someone was selling small cast-iron dutch ovens recently, relatively cheap... Can't remember who, but it would've made a nice ingot mould...
