The Lyman 311299 or 314299 is a good off the shelf boolit for this caliber.

My personal favorite is the 314299. I was able to achieve excellent results using a moderate charge of slow burning IMR 7828.....40 grains if I recall correctly. I sent the mold to my pal Reijo..who frequents these pages....and i think he has had good results as well. Another bullet you should try is the 311407 IF you can a mold, the 311467 is more or less the same bullet with a pointed nose..it is easier to find.

Hi there, Reijo speaking. My experience is not much amongst these fellows here, but I cheerfully second the motion about 314299. If you are buying a new mold, by all means try this one (present design so it's available), it allows sizing at least up to .312 (prolly more) and you won't get too skinny boolit by accident, like skinnier versions might produce. I size this to .311", because I don't have .312" die and I get very good results in my m39.

I can't argue with the above since #314299 shoots very well out of my M28/30's and M 39, but I have to size it to .312" for the last mentioned rifle. Also worth considering are #311291, #311041 or #311467 IF they cast large enough so you can size them to fit your M 39.

Mag 01, I use lyman 3314299 in my model 1927 finnish reworked moisin nagant. I have a .3115 bore. And size to .314, 20 grs 4759, rem large rifle primer and hansen yugoslavian cases. I only neck size the cases with a home made shorty neck die and do not have to use a m die. Bullets are started into the cases and then run through the seater die. On a good day I get about 2" groups with this load. This was from a C.E. Harris article published in gun digest some years ago. Oh yeah, the bullets are cast from wheel weights with 2% tin and I use javelina lube. Frank
