It might not be a bad idea to have your state on your posts and profile. When you get into some general topics, like calibers, you know that not too many Texans are going after an elk or moose...more likely deer and hogs. An Alaskan probably wants something that will discourage a grizzly or take down a moose if necessary.

It might be interesting to see where the other person is from before you offer advice.
