Accrurate #2 in the .38 super ??

Howdy , has anyone tried Accrurate #2 in the .38 super ??
if not what powder do you use ??

I shoot 90+% 124 grain TC cast with WSP and 5.6 grains of SR7625 out of my comp'd Colt MK4 series 70. Absolutely love it and best of all the 4 lb keg was free !!!! My shooting friend got transfered overseas and just gave it to me. At first I was wondering what the heck I was going to use it for and after looking through some relaoding manuals, I gave it a try in the Super. Now I do not let my supply get below 2 lbs before I get another 4 lb'er.

Have tried #5 and #7, don't remember how it shot because that was 8+ years ago.

got 2 38 supers 1 with a nowlen barrel & comp and the other with a kart barrel ! i have used tight group, wsf , wap , hs6 all with satisfactory results ive also tried surplus 820 and lilgun with 3 different cast bullets a 122 gr tc , a 122 rn and a 145swc saecos and a 122 rn gc rcbs . i got better accuracy sizing bullets to .357 dia.

i think you would do better with aa5.......i use aa2 for 45acp, and aa5 for 9mm and 9x21(closer to your super)

My 38s just loves #7 or Bluedot.

AA2 seems a bit fast for anything but light plinker or target loads in the 38 Super.

I like 571 with light bullets in a 4.5" compensated race gun. Works like a charm and really makes the comp work.

When I was competing I used #7 in mine and that was with the old power factor. I was using a 147gr boolit though. I don't have the load here though.

i think it would work fine. Its probably a tad fast burning and you might sacrifice a 100 fps but ive allways had great luck with accuarcy with aa2 much better then ive had with 5 or 7. My favorite powder in the 38 super though is power pistol. When im pushing ammo shot in a semi auto to max velocitys i like a little slower powder. I think its easier on the gun. Power pistol gives me top velocitys excellent accuracy and its clean burning if that matters to you.
