I've heard that a company re-produces the old western style scopes.

Can anyone post me a few links, have been unable to find anything on google and such.

Can scopes only be mounted on 1894 models with AE or how does it work?

I'm not sure what you mean by "old western scopes" .

If you are referring to the "Malcolm" style scopes there are a couple companies .

There is one guy in Ohio that redoes old scopes and makes some long tube Malcolm's on occasion but they are nit cheap .

Montana Vintage Arms also makes scopes of this type and I can attest to their quality as I have a friend who has one on his Sharps 45-100 and it is a great scope for this use .

There is another company called Hi Luxe I believe that imports this style of long tube scope from CHina . They are not as costly and a dare say the quality might not be as good ! My friend with the Sharps had one of these and then bought the MVA scope . After that he traded the Hi Luxe to a mutual friend so that kinda tells you his opinion of their product !
