I am always interested in optional ways to make my boolitts.
Paper jacketing is stellar or example.
Has anyone tried plating, or electroforming over lead?
The list of things that could go wrong are entering my small brain as I write this.
I bet paper is simpler, and effective.

I did try copper plating a few years ago. The result was not satisfactory. I got plating but it tended to stay in the gun barrel along with a bunch of lead. Lubing a properly fitted bullet is far less costly and more productive for the home shop.

I have some of these, but never got around to trying any. For 1700 fps or less.

There was a local company that made plated bullets several years ago . I got around to trying them in .45 ACP and liked them a lot . No leading , cheaper than jacketed and good accuracy they were just great . Dontcha know when I went back to buy about twenty thou or so the plater had gone out of business and I couldn't get any . :(
They were very lightly plated and still used bullet lube but they could be driven at any velocity . Really to bad someone local doesn't make them , I think I'd used some of them .
