about three weeks ago I called my local scarp yard and asked what they were paying for lead if I brought in several hundred pounds of WW.

The gal that answered the phone said they had no interest and wouldn't take it for free!

I will be in the San Diego area today and need to stop by a potential customer that is in the scrap industry. I'll check with them and see what they offer and post tonite.

In the small area I live in ( 50 miles N.E. of St. Louis ) one scrap dealer pays .4 a lb.
Another pays .5 a lb and sells it for .20 a lb.
I lucked out today and got 500 lbs from them that was already in ingot form.

A couple of weeks ago I asked the local scrap yard what they were paying for lead. The gal said .05 to.20 a lb. When I asked what they were selling for she says $1.00 a lb. I would be embarrassed to ask that much profit.---dale
