My son, is making a Remington Conversion for SSA.
I want to get him a mold for Christmas.
Which mold from Lee might fill the bill for that. OAL is an issue. My thoughts on this is the 200gnRF. Works great in my ACP, so it should be short enough to allow the 45LC to work. I imagine, Blue Dot will also work with that load.
Any other suggestions for that combination?

Yeppir, he might even do it also.
One day I would like to do an open top.
I just want to get him off on the right foot.

I would think the lee 255-RF would be a better choice.

For a traditional style bullet the 255 RF or the 200 RF should be the ticket.

I don't have a conversion cylinder but that is the traditional bullet shape (sort of) for the 45 Long Colt.

These guys may be a bit more help to you, a bunch of CAS folk.

The gamers recommend the 160 RF or the collar button (Lyman) or the Big Lubes.

Is he going to stick with black powder? If not, you might consider the 45 Special case.

It is the length of the 45ACP with the 45 LC rim. Boolit length ceases to be a problem.

Good luck.
