The Brownells catalog says their Shilen barrels have 8 grooves and I can't find anything on the Shilen website to confirm that. Is that correct? Seems to me Shilen barrels are either 4 or 6 grooves. I'm looking for a 14" twist barrel for my M77 .350.

My .35 rem Shilen barrel has 8 lands with a 14" twist. Shoots the RCBS 35-200-FN very well up through 2200 fps. Haven't gone beyond that because I run out of case capacity.

I have a 6.5 mm Shilen, and it, too, has 8 grooves. I can't tell you how it shoots because I haven't put it on anything yet. Will be chambered in 260 Remington on an intermediate-length Mauser.
