Hi, I'm making a .25 Hornet k-frame revolter, and a .30 Carbine (or .327 federal) barrel for my H&R handi rifle. I'd like to go with 1 in 14 twist on each of these. Does anybody know what rifles have these twists so that I can look for barrels for them on gunbroker?

Older 250 Savage barrels were pitched at 1-14", and more recent Marlin 25-20 barrels are 1-14" twist.

30 Carbine was largely 1-20", as are Marlin 32-20 barrels. The majority of nominal 30 calibers use 1-10" or 1-12" twists.

Check out Snipershide.com forum. Seems like there is always a takeoff barrel for sale on there. Most are around the twist you are asking for. They might be a little pricey though. Some sell their stock barrels when they build tacticals.

There were some Parker-Hale 308 heavy barrels on the surplus market. They had a 1 in 14.4 twist. Shouldn't be tough to find one.

I've seen long lists of rifle/model and rate of twist published in Lyman Reloading or cast bullet handbooks.
