Its rusty but it works great! I also picked up some ideal molds with it that I have no idea what they are for. one says 452-460 second one says 280-468L third one 358-242 and another 257-283.
Anyone got an idea for sure what caliber they are for?

hmmmm maybe I could use the 257-283 in my 25-35? I don't know what I will use the 280-468L gas check mold for the only 7mm I have is a Remington Mag. :(

I think that 280 has got to be for a 270? I don't know what else it would fit?

Thanks for your help. Believe it or not I don't have a 270 win

I am just wondering if I got a decent deal on the saeco pot. What is one in good working condition worth?

Hi, The Saeco pot that you have was one of the best made. Getting the rust off is not a big job; some steel wool ought to get it out of the way. A can of Rustoleum spray stove black (rated at 1200 degrees)(most hardware stores) will then have it looking new in short order. As for what its worth, I have seen several of them over the past year bringing around $100-$125. on E-Bay. I have had one for over 30 years and it is still going strong. if you are intending to stay in bullet casting I would suggest that you hold on to it as you won't find a modern ten pounder of the same quality. On the molds; the only one that I am familiar with (as I have it) is the Lyman 358242. Mine is the 120 grain version and I use it for .38 special and 9 mm. It can also be used in a number of other 35 cal cartridges as it (at least mine) casts with WW at .357-.358. You scored well with these items. LLS

The 452460 is one of the best, if not THE best, 200 gr SWC molds for the 45ACP.

Thanks for the input. I picked up the saeco furnace for $40 and all the molds for a song. They came with the old Ideal handles and I got an old Ideal ladle along with the ingot mold and a Lyman thermometer. I was feeling like I packed home a load of junk till I fired up the furnace and cast some 200 grain .452 boolits ;)

Yes, the 280XXX is a 270 mould. 7mm moulds are 287XXX

Wow. $40 for all that. Did you have a mask & gun?

I used the Saeco pot today and cast a bunch of boolits! I cast #50 of 230 grain lee truncated cone 452 boolits at a very rapid pace. The pot heats up quick and holds a constant temp very well. I couldn't be happier :)

I bought one 5 years or so ago off ebay. I think I paid $70 for it or so.

been very happy with it. doesn't leak easy to use holds a decent amount of lead.
