and out of the silver stream did they appear... took a little longer than I expected to get my mold up to temp for these... but I was pleased with the outcome, only had to drop about 5 times before they started filling out completely.

Feels good, huh?
They look like good pan lube candidates.

Lee 452-228-1R is the mold, and I figure they will pan lube just fine.. rubbed them with some LLA and they pressed nicely into 45acp and 45 colt with ease. Chamber just fine :)

And YES it feels great, got 60 lbs more wheel weights today so I have to do some more smelting too.

...............They look just fine. It's a good mould and my copy casts and drops them out well. My 45ACP Witness pistol like them fine.

Welcome to the forum.

I was using that mold in my Colt .45ACP until the Guberment said I could own anything over .38 cal.

It worked very well, my .45 just ate them up as fast as I could pull the trigger.

I lubesized them at .452".

John.

I'm a big fan of this design as well. I've shot it in numerous bone stock 1911's, and as long as OAL is adhered to, they all cycled just fine. A mid range load of unique and tumble lube, and this shoots as well in my sigs as any factrory round.
