S&W Collector Question?

I have a never used Smith and Wesson model 67 Gas Mask. I can't find any information on this item. I don't think they are being sold new anymore and I can't find any info on what they used to retail for. I think this gas mask was made in the 1970's but could be the 60's also.

Has anyone seen them for sale anywhere or seen one sold on e-bay or anything. I've been watching e-bay for a while now and none have been offered for sale. I am looking for a fair price on it so I can list it for sale.

IIRC it is most likely a LEO item, S&W had a pretty good selection of LEO stuff back in the 70's................may want to keep it.[smilie=1:[smilie=1:

I would say that it would only be something a S&W collector would want . I think the filter is only good for so many years. Try it on feebay it may do ok put a reserve and see where it goes. If is of no use to you dont realy matter rick

True bizness. S&W has long marketed allied equipment for law agencies, a lot of it VERY HIGH QUALITY. Their market share and span of equipment types has receded over the years, but what they have is still quite reputable.

Gas mask/air purifying rrespirator technology has advanced considerably over the past 30-40 years, I suspect your S&W mask is much more a collectible item than a usable tool.
