After I painted my casting room with lead tonight , I figured I had everything there and set up , so get more lead and cast .
So I looked in a corner for some lead I had there a freind gave me form his dad .
He had told me it was WW all ingoted out in 1/2 lb ingots real pretty and FREE.

Well I casted up several hundred Lee 44 cal 310 gr RF bullets , water droped .
I then switched over and ran the 311407 6 gang mold for 1 1/2 hr .
I have a good sized pile of 311407 bullets waiting to be sized .

After I sorted out the blems , I went up to size and lube the 44's
AFTER I lubed and sized them , I weighted one for some reason .
These were to be plinking bullets , so I didn't weight sort them .
It weighted 261 gr with lube and gas check .

I thought what the @@$$&*%$* [smilie=b:

I then looked at another post about a test using bullets cast out of 95/5 and 50/50 .
I did the math .
I just spent 2 hrs casting and then lubed , sized and gas checked the 44 bullets .
And they are all cast out of a real lite aloy
The 311407 weigh 143 gr ( as cast)

I then called my freind , got his dad's number in LA .
He told me the alloy was 50% WW and 50% tin .
He alloyed it up to add to straight WW. (he worked at a float glass plant , Glass is floated on tin )

Those 311407 sure look good .

But probley to soft .
To much tin to waste .
I guess I will use them to add tin to WW

I should have just stayed in bed this morning , I would have gotten more done .

................Well look at it this way. Bring your pot 'o' stuff up to temp, then toss in a handfull or whatever of your 50/50 lube sized slugs. You can then flux and anneal the GC's at the same time. The 311407M's I suppose you can just add to a pot as they'll be easy to figure how much your adding 8)

Tin is expensive metal - save those bullets to add to soft stuff like .22 range lead or cable sheathing. IMHO you got some good material there.

NO KIDDING you got good material! Like falling into an outhouse pit, and climbing out smelling of Giorgio.
