I don't ever have a problem posting pics from IMGUR.com, I have 2 accounts. So what's happening? Are you copy/pasting the link?

Go to your images and click on the one you want, then on the left click on BB code blue box, chose the size you want at the bottom. Then paste it here. This is large thumbnail.
