I am going through my molds and I cant decide on what to use. What has worked best for you guys and has anyone tried the magma 147gr 9mm mold?

Do you have the classic LEE 358-200RF ?

(hint -- you need profiles that give you at least a 0.465" nose to feed reliably)

There is a long thread on "350 Legend and Cast Boolits" that goes through all the LEE bullets both pistol and rifle -- the short answer is that the one LEE 200 grain 35 Remington bullet you have picked is the best of all the stuff LEE sells.

Size it down to .356 -- .357 and proceed to the shooting. Leaving it at .358 says that the step at the end of the chamber is either going to be a really really really short steep sizing step, or else it might shave some bullet lead off (slightly off center) which will hurt your accuracy and perhaps promote leading. Be smart, size them down in a push through sizer.

If you grease, use the gas check. If you powder coat you can leave the gas check off or not depending on your individual gun.

OldFeller, I ran trials w/ 356-358. The '8' shot best in both uppers*
Sizing after the fact is just enough to taper mouth back to ~.378"
Keep the straight shank/shoulder exposure short -- trial/error fit.
Things close/bolts rotate w/ authority

*Everyone' mileage varies of course, but here's one point of departure.
(ps: WIN brass)

I have shot my Lyman 147 Mold. It’s a BB design. (I never saw great accuracy with it) But it shoots OK as a plinker @ 2” 50 yards.

I have a SAECO 396 I think. That’s been a great legend bullet for me shooting knot holes @ 50.

Lyman 200 RN and RCBS 350-200-fun didn’t shoot for me. I also had zero luck with the LBT 220 (almost same as RCBS bullet) I have a MiHec 210 HP to try next. High hopes but have t tried yet. I got pretty good results with my 230 NOE FP but it dosent feed.
