What has to be done to lawfully ship ammunition between two private parties? Thanks for your help here.

Ship by UPS. FedEx may also. Package has to be marked ORM-D. Paper work has to state small arms ammunition.

Do a search on ORM-D sticker with the "Small Arms Ammunition" words
under the ORM-D. The ones I have used are blue, but I think the color
is optional.
You can capture the image, print it out on paper and use wide clear tape
to attach to box. Must be "properly packed" which I took to be the same
as ammo manufacturers use, so I used old ammo boxes with the plastic
or foam inserts, or new equiv from Midway.
UPS doesn't blink if you act like you know what you are doing.

ditto fedex or ups-- sometimes ups will tell you not over the counter but that is not right have the person call home office if they give you a problem rick

The UPS Stores (the new ones in shopping centers) tend to give you more hassle. Stay away from them, go to the UPS shipping depot.
