I was just at a yard sale and saw a mec Jr with a bag of shot and a bag of wads (or what ever them plastic things are called) He also said there is a jar of powder in there. Is $50.00 a good deal?

I don't shoot much shotgun, but that fact it cost $10.00 a box might have something to do with that.

A decent MEC Jr should be worth the $50 alone, they are over $100 now. Did someone beat you to it or not??

Nope! I went back and bough it.

Mec 600 Jr. "the plastic master" plus around 1000 primers, around 2 lbs of red dot. About 5 gallons of empty hulls, 250 shot cups and an unopened 25 lb bag of #8. It has been been used, but still looks in good shape. $50.00 including directions! the directions are dated 1975.
The red dot don't have a strong smell to it. he said he used it 3 years ago. It's in a card board cylinder that held 4 lbs. No idea how old it is.

We have one of the best (I hear) sporting clay courses at my range. Maybe now I can go try it. [smilie=1:

There was a couple coffee cans of lead sinkers on his table, around $3.00 for 10 lbs. Plus a mold for sinkers so I asked, "got any lead you want to sell?".
He said he has around 500 lbs that are a combination of diver weights and old pipes. He said they were worth 25 cents per pound last time he checked.

I been paying around 25 cents per pound (plus fuel) after I remove the wheel weight clips I guess this is better then break even since I don't need to drive around to find it. I guess I need to re-think my mix since I been using 100% ww and letting the pure lead collect. I guess I am sitting on 200 lbs of pure right now.

I am waiting on a check from my Part Time Business that pays for my toys.

Decisions decisions. Buy the lead? or the parts for that AR-15 stripped lower receiver I just bought :???:

Hey Will. Last week I asked the help at William`s Gun Sight what lead shot was going for? Answer "$41.00 for 25 lbs." Add on about $30.00 per K of primers and about $18.00 per lb. of powder I`d hazard a guess you got a deal! You weren`t by any chance wearing you racoon mask were you?:-D[smilie=1:
